The Statistic of Suicide in Japan
In Japan, over the last 10 years, more than 30,000 people have committed suicide each year. The number is big but it is difficult to truly feel how heaviness of this massive number of individual losses. I was trying to feel the meaning and the weight of the number by putting the red dots one by one as I imagined that one tiny dot represented one life. The small dots are as non-face as the number of statistic, however, the action creates a much more intimate book than the suicide statistic.
